The Harbor Town lighthouse was built in 1970 and is the most recognizable symbol of Hilton Head Island. Inside of the lighthouse is a viewing area, small museum, and a gift shop.
At the base of the lighthouse are restaurants and the Harbor Town marina, makes for a great trip from anywhere on the island.
Biking and Hiking Trails
Not only can you ride your bike on the hard sand beaches of Hilton Head; but there are also over 100 miles of bike paths and walkways through the resort communities in the area.
Bikes can easily be rented by the day or week at a very reasonable rate.
Myrtle Beach
If family fun is your thing, then you have come to the right place.
The downtown boardwalk has plenty of entertainment, restaurants and shops for everyone.
Take a turn on the Skywheel, relax at la beachside cafe or watch a concert in the park.
The Grand Strand is almost 60 miles of beaches.
There are plenty of hotels, so find your place in the sun.
Ride a bike on the beach, go fishing, try a dolphin cruise … it is all here waiting for you.
Savannah, Georgia
Just a 45 min drive from Hilton Head to Savannah, GA.
You won’t be disappointed! This is a great walking city so so much history. Stroll along the waterfront, visit the antebellum homes and historic plantations.
