  1. Airports may feel more busy

You may have noticed air travel has been off the rails lately. The onslaught of cancellations and delays can feel like travel Airmageddon.  It’s not just U.S. airports; many European ones are suffering the same disruptions.  Pack your patience with your carry-on luggage and take a good book or reading material.

  1. Entry rules have eased

It’s getting easier to go abroad as countries drop their coronavirus restrictions. For example, to enter France, travelers can provide proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or proof of a negative coronavirus test taken within 48 (for rapid) to 72 (for PCR) hours before departure.

Italy has dropped its covid-related entry requirements. So has the United Kingdom, Iceland, Croatia, Hungary and many more!  Things change constantly and we are updated continually.

That doesn’t mean you won’t need to show proof of vaccination while traveling. Some tour operators, hotels and other businesses may have different rules than the government.  Lucky for you, Donna Salerno Travel booked your arrangements and provides you with updated information and tips for traveling on your African safari, trip to Europe or anywhere else in the world.  We offer local offices worldwide and our professional connections make your trip seamless.

  1.  Take the kids

Family travel is on the increase!  Searches for accommodations with cribs, child care and connecting rooms are up significantly from 2019. For those gearing up to take their kids abroad for the first time or looking at a family bucket list, let us handle the details while you have all the fun!  We work with proven family travel professionals that spark the interest of your teen on a trip thru Egypt or show your little one how a gondola is maneuvered on the canals in Venice.  Thinking of the outdoors and wildlife; our family safaris in Africa or Galapagos are exciting for young minds and they learn from the new destination visited and make travel memories!

4. See cities like a local

We offer private city tours that work with your pace and interests.  Want to learn about the history, culture or experience a fun food tour?  We incorporate with your itinerary so you can have a unique experience. Looking to include somewhere or someplace special on your next city stay?  We help coordinate special requests or hobbies; photography, interior design, learning a specific water sport – surfing, paddle boarding, etc.,

  1.  You don’t have to test to get back home

The United States recently lifted the order requiring US citizens to show a negative test result or proof of recovery from covid-19 before entering the country. Health experts were not surprised to see officials drop the rule.
